You Must Do This at a Research University!

Updated: Feb 22, 2023

A really important consideration if you’re applying to a national university is going to be the opportunities they have for you to participate in research (!) as an undergraduate. You’re going to a research university, after all, so you really want to get in on this.

One of my favorite undergraduate research programs to tell students about is FIRE (First Year Innovation and Research Experience) at The University of Maryland College Park.

FIRE even has partnerships with big organizations like Capital One and ZMT Zurich MedTech AG. Learn more on their website, and see what current students are doing.

Solving problems and answering questions is the whole idea of a research university... don’t miss out on it.
